In an effort to practice typesetting, I typeset the book Through the Looking Glass. This was an exercise in typesetting a book and accompanying poems. I also created a dust jacket to go with the book. The concept behind the dust jacket was to illustrate how Alice became a queen and a grown woman against her will. The world around her seemed to crack and split apart. Through the Looking Glass is also a game of chess, both metaphorically and literally. The type for the book was a typeface created around the same time Through the Looking Glass was published. I paired it with a font that was whimsical in nature.
